Cookie Dough Update

Congratulations to all band students on a very successful fall fundraising campaign!  The participation rate was very high, and students (and parents!)  were able to raise approximately $4000 for the band program.  Thank you all for your efforts!
The QSP cookie dough and the gift items will be delivered to Stonepark in the afternoon on Thursday, November 30th. The delivery truck is scheduled to arrive at 1:00 p.m..
We will need at least 4 parent volunteers to help organize the boxes when they arrive.  If you are able to help with this task, please contact Mrs. Peters at  Thank you!
A few note:
  • Students who sold just a few items may choose to carry their orders home on their own.  A reusable shopping bag from home might be helpful.  They will be called to the cafeteria at the end of period 6.
  • All other students should arrange to pick up their orders between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.  The cookie dough should be delivered to customers right away so that it can be placed in a refrigerator or freezer.
  • Prizes have arrived from QSP!  There will be random draws, as well as a prize for the top sellers in each grade level.  Prizes will be announced at school on Monday, November 27th.

Congratulations to all of the band students on their fantastic performances at the fall band concert on November 9th. It was an amazing night of music, and the students should all be very proud of their efforts!  I have received many positive comments from people who attended.  It was so much fun to hear all of the bands from grade 7 to 12 in one evening.  I’m looking forward to many more concerts throughout the year.

A special thank you is also extended to the grade 9 band students for their
participation in the Remembrance Day assembly on Friday morning. Music is an
important part of services such as this, and the Grade 9 Band’s contribution to the
assembly was appreciated by all in attendance.  Congratulations to Callie Trainor and
Grace Arbing on a note perfect rendition of the Last Post, and thank you to Allison
Bourque for performing her original song so beautifully during the assembly.
